Practical advocacy and service delivery skills for women
The Women's Institute seeks to build upon work initiated by both the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA), in its development of HIV testing campaigns and service networks and the Ms. Foundation Women and AIDS Fund, in its development of the National Women and AIDS Collective (NWAC) and policy initiatives. Program Summary: The purpose of this institute is to assist participants in developing the capacity to plan, implement and evaluate evidence based HIV related strategies and activities targeting women. The following content tracks (with three workshops per track) will be offered: Project/Program Management, Integration of Policy and Programming, and Positives as Leaders in the Delivery of HIV Services. In addition to the workshop offerings, general sessions offering updates on medical care and treatment and self-care will be held to support the tracks. All participants will receive an institute binder containing all presentations and other related materials as well as a tool kit to help them initiate or enhance advocacy and service delivery activities in their communities.
