It was a close, gray drizzly day - and then the sun came out, just as we gathered in D.C.'s Dupont Circle at five o'clock, Tuesday, September 27. Guitarist Michael Bard played a half-hour of spectacular flamenco from the steps of the fountain while people gathered, then NAPWA President and CEO Frank Oldham welcomed the crowd and called HealthHIV's Michael Shankle to the microphone to talk about the importance of Nationa Gay Men's HIV/Awareness Day as a call to remembrance, to hope, and for gay men to do what it takes to end America's HIV epidemic.
