2011 Mayors Campaign Against HIV Proclamations
The Mayors Campaign Against HIV asks mayors to give visibilitiy to the Take the Test, Take Control message by issuing proclamations declaring June 27 to be National HIV Testing Day in their own cities or in support of testing at any time of year. NAPWA is grateful this year for support from OraSure Technologies, HealthHIV, the Black AIDS Institute, and the GREATER>AIDS campaign to help make the Mayors Campaign possible, and to the National Black Mayors Conference and Tuskegee Mayor Johnny Ford for helping us reach their mayors' lists.
Here are the mayors who have promised or already issued proclamations is support of National HIV Testing Day and testing all through the year. We'll update the list as more mayors join and more proclamations come in!
